Nightmare

In this particular drawing, there are two characteristics that I've noticed in a lot your other pieces but really manage to work here. The first is the hairstyle that you gave Twilight. A lot of the characters in your drawings have punkish hairstyles, or hairstyles that seem to be messy. While I can't say that it works entirely in ALL your drawings (ex. Ridin' My Muffin), it definitely works here because it emphasizes how dreaded the nightmare is, kind of like what they did with her in "Bridle Gossip". Another characteristic that's very strong here is the shading. All the lines and quibbles create this rather mood, almost like we're in the dream along with her. I also like how the shading is much darker on the quesadilla's side, because it indicates the quesadilla's scariness and the threat he poses to Twilight. In fact, I'm feeling pretty scared for my own life! The tone of this picture is comedic, but nerve-wracking at the same time. I feel like laughing, but also curling up in a ball. This picture does a great job at creating a certain mood, and I wish to see a lot more of that from you. Still though, keep doing what you do best, FlutterThrash!
